A new source of reporting on Afghanistan

Afghanistan Today recently launched its website and newsletter, featuring on-the-spot reporting from Afghan journalists. It looks great so far. Check out the piece on girl’s cricket teams in Jalalabad.

From the project organizers:

“We, the Berlin-based media development NGO Media in Cooperation and Transition (MICT), have launched a new website featuring articles, photos, and videos from Afghanistan by Afghan journalists. The Afghanistan Today project brings together media professionals from across Afghanistan. The website is a place for reportages, diaries, photos, and films from all parts of the country – made in Afghanistan. All content can be syndicated for free by giving credit to Afghanistan Today. If we generate income, it will directly be transferred to our Afghan colleagues.”
