Members of the Yale Afghanistan Forum with Zahir Tanin, Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United Nations.

The Yale Afghanistan Forum is a group of undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in Afghanistan and its surrounding region. The purpose of the forum is to provide a place for discussion of issues pertaining to Afghanistan, to further scholarship and awareness, and coordinate Yale and external resources related to the region. We sponsor talks by visiting experts, and hold bi-weekly meetings during the academic year.

This blog collects resources for students, news summaries, personal reflections and other items of interest related to Afghanistan. It is also the place to find a calender of upcoming events, and summaries of past events at Yale and in the community.

If you would like to be on the YAF panlist and receive emails about upcoming events, or if you have any questions about our activities, please email one of our officers:
